The Science & Art of Commercial Acting

The Science & Act of Commercial Acting
May 6 – June 17, 2013  (no class 7/4)
Mondays 6:30 - 9:30PM
Fee: 6 classes / $395 ($325 if taken with scene study)

This six-session workshop provides each student, whether new to the business or a seasoned actor, with a set of skills that takes the guesswork out of the commercial audition process. Each class is geared to build the actor’s confidence by turning the audition into a series of simple acting exercises. Students learn how to initiate a truthful relationship with the camera, to analyze copy, to create a ‘moment before,’ to establish an environment, to handle the ‘dreaded interview,’ to tag the spot and so much more. Each student’s work is taped and they receive a copy of their work to study at home.

The class is designed to make sure you do your best work at the audition, not on the subway on your way home!
