“Cheryl simplified singing in a way that connected each of us to the basics of acting and to the core of ourselves. Once each of us found that connection we transcended the nerves, the worries and the words and we all shined! I forgot about the jitters and had so much fun. I was still singing three days later. It made auditioning for musicals feel more within my control.” - H. Abell (Free Preview Participant)
The Musical Theatre Workshop provides actors/singers with an overview of working in the musical theatre world and preparing songs for auditions. The workshop focuses on the exploration, development and performance of songs that will bring out each person’s strengths and uniqueness. The emotional life of your song will be explored and you will identify characterizations that are original and full of life in an active, participatory learning environment. The goal is to gain the skills to make you connect to the material, stand out and book the job!
