Introducing the company of the 2017 Schreiber Shorts:
 

Jason Asher (Kyle in A Sudden Loss of Altitude)
Jason is thrilled to be a part of Schreiber Shorts for the second time after performing in last year’s An Honest Dialogue.  A graduate of T. Schreiber's One-Year Conservatory in 2015, he has also trained in acting and improvisation at HB Studios, Michael Howard Studios and with Tony Greco. Jason holds a B.S. in Television, Radio and Film Production from Syracuse University’s Newhouse School. Other NYC theatre productions include Born Liars (Abingdon Theatre) and Dangerous Life (Theatre 80 St Marks).  Recent film credits include Jefftown (feature) and Served on a Plate (short). And he is forever grateful to all those that love and support him!

 

Gregory Barone (Henry in Speed Play)
Gregory is thrilled to be making his Terry Schreiber Studio debut. Credits include Curtain Call’s The Graduate (Benjamin Braddock) and Seaside Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Lysander/Flute). Gregory thanks the entire cast, crew, and production team, Peter Jensen’s tutelage, as well as his family and Sarah for their unending support!

 

 

 

Bill Barry (Arizona Slim in Cowboy Cut)
Bill appeared on this stage last year as Mr. Katz in the critically-acclaimed T. Schreiber Studio production of Lanford Wilson's Hot L Baltimore, directed by Peter Jensen. Other favorite roles include Lee in Jumbo Productions’ production of Sam Shepard's True West and Biff in The Heights Players’ production of Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman, directed by Ted Thompson. Thanks to L for all your love and support always.

 

 

 

Emily Chastain (Marni in The Sleeping Beauty of Brooklyn)
Emily is psyched to be making her TSS debut in Schreiber Shorts! A graduate of the University of Tennessee, Emily is a dancer and Artistic Coordinator of Koin & Co Dance Company. She was recently seen in DANNI, a short film selected for multiple international film festivals.

Thomas Conroy* (Howard in The First Bridge)
Thomas recently played Herbie in Precious Nonsense: Kitchen Theatre, Ithaca. Upcoming roles include Captain Scott in Peter/Starcatcher: Cider Mill Playhouse and Anthony in End of the Rainbow: Music Theatre of Connecticut. National tours: GreaseKiss of the SpiderwomanCrazy For YouCabaret, and In The Mood.

Jonathan Dauermann (Mr. Bertrum in Shelley Berman's No Soap!)
Jonathan is honored to be performing for the first time at T. Schreiber Studio. Recent stage credits include Prospero in The Tempest and the Stage Manager in Our Town, not to mention years spent on the operatic stage. Recent film projects, including Bi-Polar, Fear of Missing Out, and Footprints in the Sand will be premiering on the festival circuit later this year. Special thanks to Page and all of the wonderful staff at the Studio!

 

 

Brian Dole (The Man, Younger in A Long Trip)
Brian is extremely happy to be making his debut on the T. Schreiber stage as the Young Man in A Long Trip. He has been studying with Peter Jensen for the past two years, and has appeared in numerous short films, commercials, and TV episodes.  Brian also co-wrote and co-starred in 27 Dimensions, a short film that has been selected as a finalist in the 2016 Katra Film Series.

 

 

 

Elea Easton (Bettie in Shelley Berman's No Soap!
Elea is a graduate of the TSS one year conservatory, and is delighted to be performing in the Schreiber Shorts. Elea writes sketch comedy and has performed her work in various venues in London and New York. Elea’s past credits include: THEATRE: Abigail's Party, Playhouse Creatures; FILM: Tea and Sangria; WEB: Banging on the Brickwork.

 

 

 

Julian Gavilanes (Peter in The Sleeping Beauty of Brooklyn)
The Seattle native has spent the last five years building a career in NYC. Recent credits include co-star and guest star roles in Blue Bloods and Madam Secretary (CBS), as well as Gotham (FOX) and Z Nation (SyFy). His theatrical experience is expanding through his involvement with T. Schreiber. His focus is to start spending equal time on the stage and on camera.

Taylor Graves (Kennedy in Prize Fight)
Taylor’s recent NY credits include: ‘Theresa’ in Circle Mirror Transformation at Mile Square Theatre opposite Obie winner Deborah Hedwall, ‘Lady Macduff’ in Macbeth at the 14th Street Y, original works with Nylon Fusion Theatre Company and T. Schreiber Studio, and ‘Miss Alma’ in Summer and Smoke directed by Terry Schreiber.

Anthony Innéo* (Scott in A Sudden Loss of Altitude)
Anthony was last seen as James in the Active Theater’s production of BridgeBoy and on Law & Order opposite Chris Melone and Mariska Haggerty in the episode “Rage."  Trained by Sanford Meisner and Philip Burton (Richard’s father) for classics, Anthony landed roles on As The World Turns, Guiding Light, All My Children, and Hawaii Five-O. B’way credits include Cyrano the Musical opposite Chris Plummer and Zach in A Chorus Line.  He voices a puppet in The Music of Regret with Meryl Streep and also stars in the never-to-be-released independent film, Ingrid.  Website: anthonyinneo.com

Vanessa Johansson (The Woman, Younger in A Long Trip)
Vanessa is a film, theater, and voice over actress whose work can be heard in animation, commercials, and narration.  She is a company member of Scandinavian American Theater Company where she serves as actress and Literary Director. Vanessa is a graduate of Carnegie-Mellon and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts NY.

 

 

Steven Curtis Jones (The Man, Older in A Long Trip)
Steven acted professionally in the 80's and 90's, took a long hiatus, and now enjoys doing an occasional project.  This is Steve's second appearance in the Schreiber Shorts, having appeared in last year's Benchmarks (also with Kate Whitney), and he's delighted to return.  Back in the day, he did soaps, commercials, regional theater, and a few tv shows.  He was Nickelodeon's voice of Bill Clinton for a couple of years. 

 

 

Matt Maretz* (Benjamin in Two)
Matt is honored to be a part of the Schreiber Shorts in his first production with T. Schreiber Theatre. Off-Broadway: American Games. Tours: The Lightning Thief (1st National Tour). Regional: College Colors (Crossroads Theatre), A Midsummer Night's Dream (Syracuse Stage), and The Who's Tommy (San Diego Rep). Matt is a graduate of the Drama program at Syracuse University.

Andrew Markiewicz (Mr. Cokesbury-Smythe in Shelley Berman's No Soap!
Andrew is honored to be making his debut at T. Schreiber Theatre. From Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Andrew studied Acting at the University of North Dakota and played in productions that include Curse of The Starving Class and Moliere’s Tartuffe. Andrew was last seen in The Brotherhood at the Midtown International Theatre Festival.

 

  

Nicolle Márquez (Bernadette in Two)
Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Nicole has worked in theater and film in the U.S and South America. She’s currently cast in two independent feature films: LEDA (2017), and The Geometric of Desire (2017). She feels extremely honored to get to be Bernadette in TWO.

Michele Merlo* (Aida in Shelley Berman's No Soap!
Michele most recently appeared in a staged reading of Other Desert Cities.  Some favorite theatre credits include: La Ronde, The Miser, Miss Julie, and The Wild Duck.  Michele has also appeared in principal roles on NBC’s Another World.  She studies acting with the renowned Terry Schreiber.

 

 

 

Mary Monahan (Wendy in Shelley Berman's No Soap!
Mary has appeared in many theater and film productions. Some of her favorite roles include: Mary in Moonage Daydream, which she wrote and performed in the United Solo Festival 2016 produced by Ego Actus; Eden, Gideon (PCTF 2016); Patty, Louise in Charlestown (United Solo 2015), Alma, After Tartuffe; Janet/Lady, Magic Kingdom (FringeNYC); Jan, Doe (Santiago A Mil). Film roles include: Mary Sherman, Head Trauma (LA FF, SANFIC); Woman/Mary, Windows (SANFIC, Tribeca FF, LoCarno); and Q, Slice (SANFIC, Signis Award). She is a member of Black Door and Articulate Theatre Companies.

 

Rebeca Robles (Jackie in Speed Play)
Originally from South Carolina, Rebeca is now based out of New York City where she works in theatre and independent film. An alumna of the National Theater Institute, Rebeca is now continuing her training at The Barrow Group in NYC.

Ivan Sandomire (Shelby Charles in Cowboy Cut)
Ivan previously appeared as Roger Doremus in Summer & Smoke, directed by Terry Schreiber. Films include the indie sci-fi Diverge, Mendy, and Ang Lee's Taking Woodstock. Toured nationally as Ponyboy in The Outsiders. Ivan is grateful for the studio and Peter Jensen. You can find his music on iTunes and other reputable distributors. 

 

 

John F. Sarno (Jimmy in Prize Fight)
As an actor: 40 plays, 6 short films. At T. Schreiber: studied with Peter Jensen, Page Clements, Peter Miner, Gloria Maddox. As a playwright: productions in New York (incl. Nylon Fusion) Los Angeles, and Indianapolis. Screenplays optioned: MGM, Studio Canal, and Wesley Snipes.

 

 

 

 

Gus Solomons Jr.* (Jimmy in Golden Gate)
Gus has a degree in architecture from M.I.T., danced with Martha Graham and Merce Cunningham, and founded two companies, Solomons Company/Dance (1972-94) and PARADIGM (1996-2011). Recent dance: Eszter Salamon’s Monument 0.1 (European touring) and solo Dance Now at Joe’s Pub. Recent acting: David Mamet’s Duck Variations and Yazmina Reza’s Art.  

 

 

 

 

Tai Thompson (Lin Starhawk Wise in Cowboy Cut)
Tai is thrilled to be debuting with T. Schreiber Theatre! She is a graduate of Florida State University School of Theatre. Past credits include Beauty and the Beast, Marisol, Ragtime, and Seven Guitars

 

 

 

Viviana Valeria (Blanca in Prize Fight)
Viviana is delighted to be back on stage at TSS in Prize Fight. Born in Miami, to Cuban/Honduran parents, she moved to NYC at age 18. Viviana joined TSS in March of 2015 and has been studying with Peter since. She recently made her theatre debut as Veronica in The Motherf**ker with the Hat by Stephen Adly Guirgis directed by Peter Jensen. She would like to thank Ivette, the rest of the cast, EVERYONE at TSS, Peter, for passing on his endless knowledge, and Ryan, for your never ending love and encouragement. Instagram: @veeeveee

 

Kate Whitney* (The Woman, Older in A Long Trip)
Kate (SAG-AFTRA, AEA) is a professional classically trained pianist who is returning to show business. Prior experience includes roles on General Hospital, Guiding Light, and numerous theatre roles. Previous training was with Kenneth McMillan and Carlin Glynn. She is a current member of John Howard Swain’s Scene Study Class. Kate teaches at Greenwich House School of Music, and hails from U of Texas and USC.  Kate is happy to be returning to TSS Shorts after last year's 'Benchmarks'- and to again be working with Steve Jones!

 

 

Maeve Yore* (Deborah in The First Bridge)
Maeve is a Founding Member of Articulate Theatre Company and a longtime disciple of Terry Schreiber. Trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and T. Schreiber Studio. Favorite credits: Harper in Harper Regan (Winner of the 2016 NYIT Award for Outstanding Actress in a Lead Role), Austin in the New York Premiere of Sister Cities, and Germaine in Picasso at the Lapin Agile, all with T. Schreiber Theatre. Also, Diane in The Little Dog Laughed, Fanny in On the Verge, Maggie in Dancing at Lughnasa, Anna in The Baltimore Waltz, and Miranda & Hilary in Raised in Captivity. Ja-Ron Young (Gabe in Golden Gate)
Ja-Ron is an NYC based comedian and actor. He can be seen standing on stage and screaming his opinions in various comedy clubs and his own show, Six Pack At Brit Pack. You can also catch Ja-Ron in the film Modulation Blues, debuting soon.
