Insights from a Working Actor
Portray Your Characters with Authenticity & Specificity
Do the Work, Find the Truth
Advanced On-Camera Scene Study is for trained actors with substantial on-camera experience looking to deepen emotional connections in demanding complex scenes and explore characters through specific exercises. Scenes will be from film, tv, and camera-friendly theatre selections, assigned at the top of each month along with a new scene partner.
Actors will work on their own and with their partners outside of class to develop and improve their process, incorporating direction and feedback into their in-class performances. With the goal of always bringing more specificity to the role, actors will learn how to fully inhabit the character and their world in a truthful three-dimensional human portrayal.
