The Beginning/Intermediate Scene Study is a space to continue your work with Pamela Scott. Building on the exercises taught in the Beginning Acting Technique classes and beginning Scene Study*, Pamela Scott assigns partners to explore scene work. Each pair will use relationships, emotional preparation, and the beginning of character work to advance their technique. This course is ongoing with the option for actors to re-enroll at the start of each session to continue developing their work.

*Prerequisite: Beginning Scene Study or equivalent 

Invest in this class if you...

Seek personal and supportive critique.
Want to discover the importance of moment-to-moment work and consistent practice.
Worry that your character creation muscles will be out of shape for your next role.

Take your time in a scene, trusting that you are enough.
Stop trying to make the scene work and start discovering what’s in front of you.
Express who you are and what you’re feeling through your character’s words.

Instructor

Pamela Scott is very proud to be a member of the T. Schreiber School of Theatre and Film teaching faculty. She has taught and directed there since 2003. Pamela was previously a full time guest director and teacher at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts for 12 years and a teacher of on camera acting classes and film genre classes at The N.Y. Conservatory for Dramatic Arts for 5 years.
