Build Full Characters From Full Scripts
Fine Tune Your Instrument
Develop Your Instincts

Jon Orsini / Tony-Nominee, TSS Alumni
Increase the spontaneity & truthfulness that make your characters come alive. Designed for actors who have completed foundational on-camera training*, this class will help you develop your instincts and learn to follow them without hesitation. Each month actors are assigned a new scene to develop with a scene partner, creating characters with emotional depth backed by the full script.
The magic of ongoing scene study is that it closely resembles working as if you’ve booked the role, delving into scenes from plays and films with rich characters instead of working from 3-page sides. Including group and individual exercises and improvisations, actors will also cover first reads, script analysis, developing relationships, and working with substitutions and emotional memory.
Invest in this class if you...
Know the on-camera basics and want them to feel second nature.
Want to keep your on-camera skills fresh & consistent.
Miss opportunities to make an immediate impression on your audience.

After this course, you will…
Make sure your character’s purpose and driving conflict are well defined.
Know the difference between playing a stereotype and experiencing true character development.
Express full three-dimensional characters instead of indicating flat character choices.
