TSS ALUMS GET RAVE REVIEWS IN ‘TIME STANDS STILL’

“…feels like it’s worth of being on Off-Broadway rather than Off-Off-Broadway, and one which I would think Mr. Margulies himself would be proud of… Maggie Alexander delivers a strong and passionate performance as Sarah.”
– Anthony J. Piccione, New York City Critic, Onstage Blog

“Maggie Alexander as Sarah does an exquisite job…”
– Ed Malin, Theater in the Now

“The four actors are all outstanding, each in his or her own way.  Maggie Alexander exhibits the powerful single-mindedness required of her role as Sarah… an outstanding revival of Time Stands Still”
– Alan Miller, A Seat on the Aisle

ON HER SHOULDERS was founded in 2013 to present rehearsed, staged readings of plays by women from across the spectrum of time, with contemporary dramaturgs contextualizing them for modern audiences. The program was incorporated into New Perspectives’ Women’s Work Project in 2014 and continues to strive to make it impossible for producers and theatre companies to deny or ignore the 1,000-year history and value of women’s contribution to the theatrical canon. To date the program has presented 40 plays by 32 writers from the years 1668 to 1970.
