Denise Simon

Denise Simon is recommended by New York’s top Agents, Managers, and Casting Directors for their ability to coach young actors without them looking coached. Using the Meisner approach in truth and simplicity, Denise and her team teach young performers through private and group classes.

Denise Simon developed and managed the careers of Scarlett Johansson, Academy Award winner Mira Sorvino among others. She has taught hundreds of children and young adults appearing regularly on TV, film, and Broadway including Caleb McLaughlin and Noah Schnapp from Stranger Things. Denise also cast the award-winning independent film No Letting Go.

 

Denise’s recent directing credits include A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Museum, Working, You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown, and Into the Woods. She was the on-set coach for the award-winning television show Teen Kids News and for Fox Television’s The Following.

Denise Simon. is the author of Parenting in the Spotlight: How to Raise a Child Star Without Screwing Them Up. She is an expert columnist at Backstage.com, a member of the New York SAG–AFTRA Young Performers Committee, and has led seminars for Actors Equity Association and SAG–AFTRA.
