Our Online On-Camera Summer Intensive empowers actors to use technology to their advantage and arms them with the tools they need to create their own work, fully preparing them for their future in the business. The program incorporates an intense, hands-on approach to developing an actor’s craft for film and television that includes: Acting Technique, On-Camera Acting, Self-Taping, Audition Technique, Writing Your Own Material, Commercial Acting, and Actor Branding & Marketing. Each component of this vigorous program is designed to deepen your truthfulness and comfort in front of the camera while also giving you the tools you need to get the role.

This 5-week acting “boot camp” meets 5 days a week, Monday through Friday (Final week Mon-Wed.)

Acting Technique with Peter Jensen

Acting Technique includes a wide variety of individual and group exercises to open up and develop each actor’s instrument and fine-tune their listening and responding skills. Within the framework of behaving truthfully under imaginary circumstances, you will explore character creation, objectives, obstacles, personalizations, and being in the moment.

On-Camera with K. Lorrel Manning

On-Camera includes improvisation, action work, character monologues and action verb exercises. You will move to in-depth work on a scene from film or television, with a focus on activating the material quickly and instinctively from the moment before to the moment after.

Self-Taping with Jeff Dreisbach

Casting Director Jeffrey Dreisbach of McCorkle Casting will show you how to prepare, shoot and submit theatre, film, and TV auditions using your cellphone, tablet, or laptop. Having viewed hundreds of video submissions himself, Jeff will help you find the most effective ways to capture your best performance.

Audition Technique with Robert Verlaque

Get a step-by-step breakdown of the auditioning process to help you get specific, connect to the material, make on-the-spot adjustments, and nail any acting audition – including cold reads and monologues! Learn to make smart, effective choices and experience the confidence that is essential to booking the job.

The Writing Actor with K. Lorrel Manning

If you’re tired of looking for the perfect role to showcase your acting chops, you’ve come to the right place. Through a series of writing exercises and prompts, you will learn how to use the storytelling skills you already possess to write monologues, sketches, scripts, and screenplays featuring you!

Commercial Acting with Bill Coelius

Commercial Acting instructor Bill Coelius, who has starred in over 50 national commercials, will arm you with a set of skills that takes the guesswork out of the commercial audition process. Work on camera with current commercial copy to learn how to distinguish between the three types of commercials and then make the copy your own.

Actor Branding & Marketing with Jazelle Foster

Learn why creating a website is just the first step. Be in charge of your online presence, which is often the first impression you’ll give to industry. Learn the marketing tips and tricks you need to show up online as the talented professional you are.
