Kim J. Hartswick is presently the Academic Director of CUNY Baccalaureate for Unique and Interdisciplinary Studies, a degree granting institution that encourages students to work closely with faculty mentors in developing an individualized course of study. He earned a Ph.D. in Classical and Near Eastern Archaeology and taught for over two decades at The George Washington University prior to moving with his wife to NYC in 2001. He is President Emeritus of the Chamber Orchestra of New York, a non-profit organization that supports young professional musicians through live performances and recordings.
