Abigail Milnor-Sweetser (Jenna) is a classically and contemporary trained actress living in NYC Favourite credits include Hamlet, Much Ado About Nothing, People, Places & Things, Three Sisters. Feature film, Badpuss: A Popumentary (Indieflix). Along with her training at the Actors Studio Drama School, she studied at the LAMDA and the BADA in the UK. She’s worked with esteemed actors and directors such as Fiona Shaw, Simon Callow, Brian Cox, James Bundy, Peter Francis James, and UK director Lyndsey Turner (Hamlet, Barbican Centre featuring Benedict Cumberbatch). Additional training includes The National Theatre Institute, the William Esper Studio, and the Robert X. Modica Studio, and has a BA in theatre from Smith College. She is also in the feature film, Badpuss: A Popumentary.
Allison Benko (Director)is a theatre director based in Brooklyn. Her work as a director includes Another Mikado (upcoming, Ridgewood Gilbert & Sullivan Society, also adaptor), A Doll’s House: A New Opera (Central Square Theatre, also co-lyricist), Secret Death of Puppets (New York Public Library), Every Christmas Story Ever Told (Gloucester Stage Company), and Twelfth Night (Powerhouse Park). Notable assistant direction includes Oslo at Lincoln Center Theatre (Tony & Obie Awards for Best Play). Benko has studied ritualistic shadow puppetry at the Tholpavakoothu Puppet Centre in Kerala, India, and is a member of the Lincoln Center Directors Lab. B.A. Tufts University.
Celey Schumer (Kate) Celey is an actress, writer, and comedian. She performs sketch comedy regularly with the highly talented BoogieManja program, produces a weekly comedy podcast called Still Got It (waxing nostalgic about classic childhood movies), and tells jokes on stage whenever asked. You can see her in the upcoming film Bite Me, the webseries Extra/Ordinary, or probably in a yogurt commercial. She knows more about Harry Potter than you do, and is very passionate about snacks.”
Cinthia Chen (Assistant Director) works in both in film and theater. In film, her work includes editing and producing for Five Sisters Productions on King, Queens & In-Betweens  (2017) and Half The History (2015-) respectively; assisting on Charles River Media’s The Ascendants Anthology (2016) and production designing for Ben Haven Taylor’s In the Off-Season (2017). In theater, she conceived and directed a ‘live cinema theater’ production, Anna May Wong: The Actress Who Died a Thousand Deaths (Balch Arena Theater) which received Talamas Film Sponsorship. Chen has also trained in kunqu opera under the London Jing Kun Opera Association, as well as Japanese noh theater through the Kyoto Arts Center with Shingo Kateyama of the Kanze School of Noh. She holds a B.A. in International Literary and Visual Studies from Tufts University.
Chris Cimperman (Derek) A New York native with credits ranging from theatre to TV. Trained at the Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. He recently finished working on a new horror film set in the Adirondacks set to release this summer. Chris is very excited to have joined the cast of “What Happened That Night” and looks forward to working on the play.
Daniel Jared Hersh (Benny) D.J. Hersh is an actor and singer from southern California. He recently celebrated his one year anniversary of living in NYC! He is a graduate of AMDA where he received a BFA in Musical Theatre. Favorite past roles include Arpad in She Loves Me, Peter in The Diary of Anne Frank, and Jinx in Forever Plaid. D.J. works by day as a singing waiter at Ellen’s Stardust Diner, and he will be going on tour this spring with Peppa Pig Live! He would like to thank Allison for this opportunity, and his family and friends for always believing in him.
Jonathan Dauermann (Kevin) is delighted to be performing once again at the T. Schreiber Studio. Jonathan was recently part of the Studio’s December reading of the play Ribbon Creek and also appeared in last year’s Schreiber Shorts festival, starring in the play No Soap!. For many years an operatic performer, Jonathan switched to dramatic work over the last two years, performing classic roles like Prospero, the Stage Manager in Our Town, Leonato, and most recently, Pishchik in The Cherry Orchard. Jonathan can now be seen playing a guy (poorly) playing King Lear in the recently premiered a webseries, Footprints in the Sand, now viewable on YouTube.
Lia Romeo’s plays have been produced at 59E59, Project Y Theatre Company, Unicorn Theatre, and elsewhere, and have been developed at the Lark and San Francisco Playhouse, among other places. She has been nominated for the ATCA/Steinberg Award for best new play and the NYIT Award for outstanding full-length play, and has been recognized by the O’Neill (finalist), the Heideman Award (finalist), and the Kilroys List (honorable mention). Her plays are published by Playscripts and Smith & Kraus. She earned her B.A. from Princeton University and her M.F.A. in playwriting from Rutgers/MGSA, and she teaches in the graduate creative writing program at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Melanie Glancy (Producer) recently debuted as Janice in Loose Ends here at T. Schreiber Studio, Directed by Terry Schreiber, Assistant Directed/Stage Managed The Snowmaker alongside Terry Schreiber, and now Producing all readings for The New Works Initiative here at T. Schreiber including Ribbon Creek and now What Happened. Other acting credits include Gabrielle Rejane in The Ladies of the Camiellas and Jaquenetta in Love’s Labour’s Lost.
