On Camera I

Focuses on training the actor to fulfill on-camera blocking and direction while incorporating truthful moment-to-moment involvement and spontaneity. The exercises provide the foundation for improvisations that develop an understanding of character and relationship. Scenes are assigned, rehearsed, then filmed, with director adjustments, allowing students to see how their work translates on screen and how vital specific work is to the film medium.

Vocal Productions

This on-going class with Page Clements introduces the actor to a range of physical exercises to strengthen breath control and support and relax the throat and upper body. The focus is to develop a stronger vocal tone, resonation, release of useless tension, and value of language.

Dialect with Page Clements

Each 5 week session focuses on one specific dialect or accent. Examples are: Standard British (RP), Cockney, Irish (Belfast & Dublin), Scottish, Australian, American Southern (two distinct states). A phonetic approach is used to strengthen the ear and provide the actor with the tools necessary to approach future work independent of the classroom. Open to all levels. No audition required.

Script Analysis with Terry Schreiber

Terry Schreiber brings 48 years of directing and teaching to this special summer Script Analysis workshop. Influenced by the work of Harold Clurman, Terry will give actors, directors and playwrights the steps to prepare a script and full production book. Concentration will be on the use of theme, spine, event metaphor, actions and behavior.
