Teen On-Camera

Teen acting class:  cultivating young performers

This teen acting class is a scene study class for young performers. It is recommended that actors in this class have some previous experience on stage or on camera. The class is led by an award-winning instructor who has extensive experience directing for both film and stage.  We keep our class size small to create a safe space and ensure performers receive ample time to work in class. Actors will receive thoughtful, supportive critique about their individual work. This is an acting “gym” for young actors to work out and work together to improve their technique. Each member of the class works on camera every week.

Work will include:

  • script analysis
  • audition technique
  • improvisation

The emphasis of study is on:

  • truthfulness
  • listening
  • spontaneous (rather than pre-planned) response

Actors will be led through exercises which will be used to assist actors in:

  • relaxation and concentration
  • improvisation leading to a deeper understanding of character and relationship
  • opening up their instrument and imagination

This class requires an interview with the instructor. Call our office at 212-741-0209 or email info@tschreiber.org to schedule your interview.
